Abstract

Observation to analyze the control of spare parts for CU-YN5WKJ type air conditioner products. The most important spare parts for the CU-YN5WKJ manufacturing process are fan motor, compressor, poly e foam, base pan, lead wire complete. The problem found in the spare parts warehouse of PT XYZ is experiencing overstock or excess spare parts exceeding the number of goods to be produced, especially for the YN5WKJ AC model. The method used to overcome this problem is Material Requirement Planning (MRP). Before calculating MRP, forecasting is carried out to determine the master production schedule for 2024, and the method chosen is the Holt-Winter additive. The company has high storage costs due to excess spare parts. Therefore, a calculation of spare part control with MRP is carried out using the Silver Meal lot sizing technique and Least Total Cost (LTC). The calculation results state that for Silver Meal lot sizing there are no spare part lots stored or the storage cost is equal to zero, for the LTC method there are lots that must be stored at level 0 for 6 periods. When viewed from the total cost, the Silver Meal method has the smallest total cost of Rp. 20,603,191. Therefore, the Silver Meal method was chosen because it can minimize storage costs and has the smallest total cost.
